Well, it is once again MY time. The stars are right...

2006 is the Year of the Dog. Let's hope it doesn't lick...

Quote:
1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006

People born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. They have a deep sense of loyalty, are honest, and inspire other people¡¦s confidence because they know how to keep secrets. But Dog People are somewhat selfish, terribly stubborn, and eccentric. They care little for wealth, yet somehow always seem to have money. They can be cold emotionally and sometimes distant at parties. They can find fault with many things and are noted for their sharp tongues. Dog people make good leaders. They are compatible with those born in the Years of the Horse, Tiger, and Rabbit.

Happy New Year Anthony! I am an OX so I can be justifiably eccentric also, heh, heh. . .

What year dog are you, Anthony? I'm a water dog myself... 1982.

With my musical preferences how could I be other than a Metal Dog?

Happy New Year!

Tony: How much do you agree with the description?

I'm sure Lorne will have a huge smile on his face when he reads the description... it's actually close enough to make me smile. This is even better:

Quote:
METAL DOG - 1910, 1970, 2030
This type of Dog can be unwavering in his convictions and highly critical of every infraction of the law according to his own interpretation. However, his principles are of highest kind and fundamentally he is noble and charitable. He will give himself to a lifetime of selfless dedication if he finds an object or cause worthy of his devotion. Yet he can be ruthless when aroused and will pursue his enemies until they are annihilated.

The Metal element combined with his lunar sign, which is also governed by Metal, produces a double Metal sign, which is extremely formidable. Orientals call this combination the "Iron Dog" and look upon its year with much apprehension as it could be either very good or very bad, depending on whether it takes on a negative or positive course.

Likewise, the stern and principled Metal Dog will exhibit the same traits and will exercise strong mental discipline over himself and take things very seriously.
His loyalty is unquestionable and he has strong political views. Never indecisive, he will pick a side and never desert his affiliations. Consequently, even though he hates injustice and foul play, this type of Dog can resort to extreme measures when he insists that others subscribe to his views.

are you going to wear the requisite red band around your body starting in the lunar new year? of course it isn't really the year of the dog until feb (is it feb 4 this year?)

all the bad luck seemed to miss me at 24, but my brother-in-law got it real bad at 36...

Hope your's goes ok! ;)

I am also smiling at the description, Tony. I assume Lorne is as well.

I've been told that I was almost a dog. Because of the time of the lunar new year in 1970, January 31st fell short of the next year (Feb 17, 1969 to Feb 5, 1970). It seems that I am an earth rooster.

...and the hits just keep on coming! Loads of uncharitable descriptions await you at ZodiacsRus.

Anyway... in regard to bad luck for this year... I'm going to hold to the belief that we make our own luck. If I am going to be screwed by the cosmos, I want it to be my fault.
