Halloween exposed me to more than a few drunken wahoos wobbling around the streets of Seoul in TKD and HKD uniforms. Thoughts...?

I've seen people use hdgd uniform parts (mainly the kick ass pants ) as costumes but never the entire ensemble. I suppose Anthony's drunken "wahoos" can be likened to the guys here who dress up in their football jerseys or lacrosse gear.

I end up feeling rather neutral on the subject as I have conflicting views...
One side of me believes that the uniform's wear should be due to training, and no other reason.
Another side of me doesn't attach any particular meaning to the uniform, but thinks it is as ridiculous as wearing my nasty gym clothes as a "costume".
Yet another side (I'm up to a triangle so far) feels that someone who would do that must be very proud of what they are doing that they will look for any excuse to show off their affiliation with it. In which case, they probably need the feeling of belonging more than I need my feelings of contempt (or indifference, as the case may be), and I would not think any more about it.
There are a few other sides of me, but they are busy dragging their uniforms through gravel parking lots to make it look like they are training harder, so I'll have to ask them later.
But probably, I'd just roll my eyes

Aaron's like an onion...he's got layers. Or maybe that's a parfait
Have you ever met a person, you say, "Let's get some parfait," they say, "Hell no, I don't like no parfait"? Parfaits are delicious.

As long as they act in a respectful manner while sporting the school or organizational colors. I dont see it as a problem

By putting on the uniform for Halloween, you also agree to be an embassador for the art.

i just think it's boring and unoriginal. (not that my dressing up as a pregnant nun was my original idea).

I wonder if that also means I'm an ogre.

I Kind of think the same as Joe. It's not the fact of wearing it what may make it recpectful or not. It's your attitude when you wear it as a custome. You can have fun and also be respectful. And be respectful and have plenty of fun...
What I would see unrespectful would be for example using the uniform to show-off in public...
Anyway, as Eric says, I also think it is not a sign of originallity...
