Man killed wife with sword, police say
December 3, 2007
Prince George's County police said a man killed his wife with a sword Saturday at C&A Martial Arts Academy in Clinton, MD. Family and friends identified the couple as Chris and Eva Smith, who owned the academy.
Police said the man tried to hang himself afterward but survived. Police say the couple's 18-month-old child was found at the scene, unharmed.

This is different than most of our sword crime stories here. This actually concerns a martial artist, in a martial arts academy. This is most unfortunate and a saddening news item.

This is very sad. I hear he tried to kill himself afterwards and that they leave two small children behind. It appears too that they were a nice respectable couple in appearance and clearly accomplished in a range of Martial Arts. How, why does this happen?
