Do many of you practice cutting more than 1 pole with 1 cut? If so, please relate your experiences.

Thank you

I've cut through three poles at around 2" diameter. I find the downward cuts easier. If you miss the first one, you miss 'em all...

How about less than 1 pole per cut?

"How about less than 1 pole per cut?"...not a problem :D .

I am able to cut 2 poles with little difficulty both with and against gravity, but I have not been succesful with more than the 2. I typically cut poles ranging from 2" to 4" in diameter and they may be green or dry. I believe one contributing factor is that my cutting stand needs to have a broader base. As I have mentioned before, I do not clamp the poles down, they are simply slid into the pipe holders. This obviously causes a lot of vibration which in turn results in the stand moving. I also find that the angle need to be adjusted so you don't hit the stand (if it's a downward cut).

Thank you

I think he means cutting through the first pole, without touching the second. 0_0;;
