I came upon an iaido terms for Kirioroshi in one of the the Iaido websites,
one that particularly hits me is the aphorism found in Kirioroshi, it says

" If a trainee disturbs himself ( lacking of concentration ? ), it would be a wicked sword play"

" If a trainee doesnt have a fighting spirit , it would be ONLY a sword dance  "

" If a trainee doesnt strain ( meaning lacking of effort ???) , it would be ONLY fun  "

Personally for me , I found these aphorism are true even in my HDGD practise.
Though there are differences in the way Korean sword arts approach to sword phisophically, but I am sure there are similarities.

I dont know what HDGD korean terms for the aphorism mention above, any idea ?

I forgot I think there is a member here practise Iaido as well , but I cant remember the person name, maybe can give me an insight ?
Thanks

Johan:

I am not familiar with the Japanese term but it does seem to fit budo quite well. Is the concept congruent with HDGD?... IMO good swordsmanship is universal, regardless of nationality or school. Many a time have my instructors & I, both Japanese & Korean styles, expressed this concept during training.

Thank you
