A student a a school I was training at asked me where she could get some hdgd merchandise. I had told her to check the federation website and she said that the it was down. I went to check and I couldnt find the store section on the website. I was wondering what happened to it?

I don't think that section was ever active.

I've never seen it active either. They seem to be determined to make you have to buy everything thru your dojang. I understand that, but we don't even know the full range of stuff that is available. There's no catalog and no announcements. Kinda hard to sell stuff if you don't tell the customer what there is to be had.

T-shirts, kit bags, track suits, uniforms, moggum, kagum, and some random stuff like key chains or calendars or hats from time to time.

As far as this stuff goes, buying it is more of an "American" thing. Not big business here - it's an after-after-thought.

I know we still have some pink baseball caps with the WHDGDF logo on it, from 3-4 years ago. I'm debating whether or not to get it for my girlfriend for her upcoming geup promotion. Hmmm... what do you think?

PINK baseball caps with the WHDGDF logo?

Then again, I have never seen any baseball caps with the HDGD logo on them.

And the only HDGD track suits i have ever seen were those some of our folks brought back from the 2004 championship. I have never seen any others for sale.

You'd think the school owners would at least carry one of each HDGD available item. If we don't know about stuff, we can't buy them, so that guarantees they won't make their cut from it. Seems like almost everything we have on hand at the dojang says TKD on it. If the TKD folks buy stuff, why don't they think we'll buy HDGD stuff?

There is a new warm-up suit coming out "soon". I saw it last fall and it will be a must-have for me. I really would like to see a re-issue of the HDGD hats from 5 or 6 years ago--they were black with the Hanja letters, very nice and classy.

Brad, that's probably because most schools can sell you anything that's being put out by the WHDGDF. It's all kept at HQ. For example, teachers carry a very limited supply of merchandise at their own dojang. When they need more of a specific item, we at HQ Canada send whatever they want.

That's why I have some odd items here, because I train at the HQ. (Heh, they have 3 colors for the caps by the way. Pink, baby blue and royal blue.)

But the issue is, we don't know all of what is available.
There is no display, no catalog, no pictures, nothing, unless the master happens to have something on hand.
If you want to sell stuff to your students, that's a real poor way of advertising your wares, having people ask, "what can we get"....
I see TKD stuff all the time, it's in stock.
It would be beneficial, if the federation isn't going to do it, for a school owner or a HQ with a website to take pictures of all the available stuff and post it online so at least we can see somewhere what all is available.
Otherwise we're all in various shades of the dark here.

The World site has some pictures of "stuff" on the Korean side. I really want the backpack, but I don't have any way to get one :(

"pictures of "stuff" on the Korean side."

I can't read Korean. I spent some time clicking on things to see where they went, but never found 'everything that is on the WHDGDF site' that is available.
I cannot find any merchandise on the English site, as far as I can tell. There is a photo gallery, but there is no HDGD merchandise that is advertised/listed as being available.
Would someone please post the precise URL of the webpage where all this stuff is? 'Cause it's not very obvious.
Sorry, it's just not easy to find for someone who doesn't already know where it is.
Kind of like 'la Isla de Muerta', which can't be found by those who don't know where it is.....

Cheri: The new warm-up suits are already available. In fact, they were on display at the Virginia cutting seminar which you attended.

I was told then that there weren't any available for for sale. I will try to call our main school and ask. Thanks Casey!
