Hi!

Are there any dojangs in Madrid or nearby? doesn't matter if it is haidong gumdo or haedong kumdo... or maybe something similar?

Will almost for sure move there next semester to write my master thesis so would be nice to continue my training during that semester.

Here is a link to the Spanish HDGD Association. I think they have clubs in Barcelona and Sevilla, but I don't know about Madrid. The website was made by our forum's own Castro Vicente, so perhaps you could PM him for more information.

I found this link to a kendo club in Madrid. Kendo is far enough different to haidong gumdo that you will almost feel like you are starting over, but the club also offers kenjutsu and iaido. They practice sparring, forms, and (I think) cutting, so you can at least stay active and learning about the sword.

By the way, what are you studying?

Thanks Ann!

Kenjutsu and Iaido are always interesting! I have kendo equipment but not really interested in the sparring part with all the gear. I will PM and hope that there is a gumdo class somewhere close.

I study my last year in Computer Science and Electronics. I think my master thesis will be in Robotics, seems interesting, many things to learn :)

Hi Vasilis,

The website Castor gave you is the only HDGD dojang in Madrid. I've been training there for about 2-1/2 years. If you need any additional info, please feel free to PM.

Hope to see you around next semester!

Alexandra
